Becoming George Washington: Teacher's Resource Guide
This 32-page guide and accompanying CD-ROM offer curriculum for fourth through twelfth grade classrooms. Each lesson approaches a specific aspect of George Washington’s life as an emerging leader: from his early days as a land surveyor and emissary, through his experiences as a colonel, volunteer, and commander during the French and Indian War. The guide meets four National Standards for History. Students will study, analyze, and discuss or write about period maps, paintings, engravings, and primary source documents such as Washington’s own journal.
